Fox Farm
is a perennial garden and lavender farm near
the town of Vashon, Washington. Planting
started in 2000, and grounds are now quite
lovely, containing a number of different
perennials, annuals, deciduous shrubs,
evergreen shrubs, fruit trees, and a field
of more than 700 lavender plants
representing 7 different varieties! The
gardens contain many other hard to find,
interesting cultivars of lavender.
Fox Farm is owned and
gardened by Cynthia Johnson, a keen gardener
who works as a Family Doctor in Seattle
during the work week. In addition to
lavender, she loves growing and propagating
perennials of all sorts (the more unusual
the better!), growing cut flowers and fruit
trees and talking with other gardeners and
lavender fans! Plants propagated from her
gardens and the lavender fields are
available for sale at the festival and by
appointment.
In addition to the
farm tour dates, The garden is also be open
two times a year for plant and product
sales. |
